Top Ten Celebrities Include Charlie Sheen and Jennifer Aniston

The 2011 top ten celebrities spanned the gamut from the good — Jennifer Aniston — to the bad — Charlie Sheen — and the ugly — Lindsay Lohan. The women ruled. Seven of the top celebrity newsmakers for them were women. Jennifer Aniston, Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Kate Middleton and Oprah Winfrey made the cut along with Lohan. Only four men made it: Justin Bieber, Michael Jackson and Prince William joined Charlie Sheen.

According to Access Hollywood, Jennifer Aniston took the tenth spot. The golden girl stretched her acting chops in ‘Horrible Bosses’ and then found true love at last with Justin Theroux.

Michael Jackson made number 9. Even dead, the king was one of the top ten celebrities as his killer went to trial.

Lindsay Lohan hogged the tabloids with her self-centered, childish behavior. She made the list at number 8.

Lady Gage came in at 7. She titillated, as always, but also championed an important cause — anti-bullying.

Beautiful Jennifer Lopez came in sixth. Her American Idol stint, sudden divorce of Michael Anthony and new boy toy kept her face front and center.

Oprah Winfrey proved she still had star power, coming in fifth. Lady O ended her talk show career; started a new network and raised a ton of money for charity.

Self-proclaimed American royalty, Kim Kardashian, settled in at 4 of the top ten celebrities. She parlayed her wedding into a television event. However, the wedding was the beginning of the end. She filed for divorce just weeks later.

Bieber fever caught everyone in its grip. It started with Justin and Selena (Gomez). Then along came Mariah Yeater claiming Bieber was her baby daddy. Things got ugly but Justin stayed the course despite his young age.

Warlock, Charlie Sheen, was the topic on everyone’s lips for months. The Two and a Half Men star imploded, trying to take everyone down with him. It backfired on him, costing him his hit TV show and a lot of fans. But there’s always the comeback…

The top story of the year surprised no one. Prince William finally married his Kate in a tastefully done ceremony watched all around the world. Then the new couple ruled the hearts and minds of people everywhere with grace, dignity and charm.

Still there were a few that could have made the cut of the top ten celebrities. Arnold Schwarzenegger showed his hand, costing him genuine American royalty; Kennedy clan member, Maria Shriver.

Ashton Kutcher proved he was Romeo, but not in a good way. After all, he was still married while he flirted with anyone in skirts. A casual fling finally brought his charmed life to a screeching halt.

Prince Harry thrilled almost as much as his brother. The dashing single prince enjoyed his time in America while also serving his country at the same time.

TV reality queen, Bethenny Frankel, built an impressive empire and then watched it crumble amid accusations of false advertising and fake show footage.

Tiger Woods tried to regain control of his life but failed to thrill on the golf course. That is, until December when he finally proved he still had a touch of the old magic.

Taylor Swift showed America a true role model. Luckily, she got even more popular while doing it.

Simon Cowell bragged his new show X-Factor would be ratings titan Although it didn’t deliver at the level he wanted, it still thrilled; making him the reigning talent finding king of the day.

Do you see anyone missing among the top ten celebrities? If so, who and why should they have made the grade?
